Serecon presented at the 2015 Alberta Expropriation Association Fall Conference. Glen Doll gave a presentation about "Surface Rights Issues: What's Growing?".  The discussion related to the pipelines, power line, and oil and gas activity as they relate to the Surface Rights Act. Specifically, Glen spoke about environmental concerns, compensation, and impact to farming operations from a landowner's or farmer's point of view.  Factors such as obstructions and severances to the field that are the result of the surface rights activity were discussed. Considerations regarding pre-construction, during construction, and post-construction were analyzed with the audience.  Issues such as Clubroot, crop and livestock disease, as well as noxious and invasive weeds were studied. Lastly, Glen also spoke about how unmanned aerial vehicles or drones can help with tracking and reducing damages to cropland. For more information, view the presentation or contact Glen Doll
