Congratulations to Megan Russnak and Shay Forget who were awarded the Serecon Leadership Scholarship and the Ralph Ashmead Agricultural Economics International Award, respectively. 

Megan and Shay have had superior academic achievements at the University of Alberta. Serecon is happy to help these students in pursuing their goals.

The Serecon Leadership Scholarship, which has been offered since 2001, is awarded annually to a student with superior academic achievement entering the first year of the BSc. in Agriculture program. Recipients are chosen on the basis of leadership qualities demonstrated by involvement in extracurricular and community activities as well as academic standing.

The Ralph Ashmead Agricultural Economics International Award, which is in memory of the late Ralph W. Ashmead who was a partner with Serecon, has been offered since 2011. It is awarded to a student with satisfactory academic standing entering any year of an undergraduate degree in the Faculty of Agricultural, Life and Environmental Sciences who is participating in a Faculty approved formal exchange program, international study abroad program, international internship, or practicum opportunity. Selection is based on demonstrated leadership qualities in extracurricular and community activities, academic standing and demonstrated expected benefit of study and/or research opportunit
