Development Land & Holding Properties in the Calgary Area

Over the last year, Serecon has appraised dozens of development lands and holding properties in and around Calgary, Rocky View County, and the MD of Foothills. We have found that land values have been primarily stable as the real estate marketplace has shown balanced demand for, and supply of, urban fringe land and developable land in the greater Calgary area. The greatest factor affecting the value of a given future development property is the anticipated time frame to development which is largely based on the location of the property, availability of services, land use zoning, land use planning, and other site specific influences that impact the development prospects.
